Efficiency Direct Ltd is supporting organisations in the south east with a number of energy management services; ensuring they become Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRCEES) compliant.

This Government led carbon reduction scheme, has launched in earnest. A criterion for scheme registration comprises those using half hourly meters with a consumption of over 6,000 MWh in 2008. In addition, there is a need to make a disclosure for those using 3,000 MWh in 2008 or above.

Those eligible, whom have missed the registration date of the 30th September 2010, may suffer a sizable fine, as well as ongoing daily fines until registered.

History has taught most of our clients that any consultancy can produce a glossy report explaining the problems within their building, highlighting what the facilities team/energy manager already knows. These reports are time and cost intensive and generally sit on a desk for a month, or two, then find themselves in a filing cabinet.
